The Designated Person for Child Protection is the go-to person in an organisation or school for all child protection concerns.

This workshop focuses on understanding the concept of vulnerability and explores factors that contribute to vulnerability, risk and child abuse. Participants will learn how to identify when children and young people are vulnerable to abuse and neglect, and how to intervene early.

The purpose of the 5-day Child Protection Studies Programme is to enhance the skills of those who are involved with children and young people, by giving them a deeper understanding and knowledge to be able to take positive action to protect children and young people.

These FREE 1-day Working Together for Vulnerable Kids Seminars are run in partnership with and are funded by Oranga Tamariki – Ministry for Children.

This course is for those who have previously completed the Introduction to child protection module with us.

This course blends personal stories of growing up in a violent family with expert insights on how childhood trauma affects behaviour. Learn how trauma impacts children’s decision-making and learning, and discover ways to support them.
